The Monari story

Inspired by a summer in Tuscany, Monari was founded in 1986 by Renate and Bernhard Bosch. The vision: to convey this attitude towards life in a fashion label and a high-quality knitwear collection. At its core, Monari has remained true to its origins, although the portfolio has steadily expanded to include a complete outfit. Owner and design chief Anne Böing as well as the sales manager Angela Bertrams-Cosse and the commercial manager Christoph Börsting are the leading figures of the label today.

Style

The collections of the Monari label are smart, casual, glamorous, of high quality and always have that certain something. Monari creates complete outfits - with a signature from the top to the pants. In terms of content and appearance, the collection is thought through down to the smallest component, which creates unmistakable looks. On top, there are iconic eye-catchers regularly. Parts that seem to fall out of line, are bolder or are directly inspired by the metropolises of the world. Contradictions that fit together. Monari loves to surprise and to develop, but still follows its line consistently and thus creates a balanced balance between casual style, class and that certain something.

Target group

The woman who wears Monari enjoys her life, likes to go out, loves to travel and has an urban, contemporary, smart and elegant style. She is open to trends and sometimes brave, but always remains true to herself, our label and her values. She likes a nice atmosphere, appreciates good quality and has certain demands on herself and her surroundings. She is optimistic and realistic.

Production

With long-standing, reliable producers in Europe and Turkey, North Africa and the Far East, Monari has unique production know-how. Individual knitting processes, unusual printing techniques and the processing of high-quality yarns and materials are among the core competencies. Together with the experienced, well-coordinated design team and internationally active technicians and inspired by the impulses of the times and the "Pitti Immagine Filati" yarn fair in Florence, we guarantee collections of the highest level of style, quality and fit.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a complex term and implies strong action, conscious decisions and, last but not least, an inner attitude and social attitude. As a company, Monari sees its duty to act sustainably and thus to take on social responsibility and to be a role model. Monari wants to act sustainably to make our earth and our future better, and thus treat it with respect. For us, sustainability is a continuous process - a long journey made up of many small steps. Our goal is to make the offer for customers, employees, suppliers and generations who follow us ecologically and socially sound and at the same time economically compatible. Responsible production, the preservation of natural resources and careful entrepreneurial action are central elements of our corporate strategy and are firmly anchored in our operational areas. To achieve this strategy and the associated goals, Monari work intensively on processes, initiate innovations, set new priorities and take measures.
